ASC Award-nominated cinematographer Thomas Yatsko brings a wealth of knowledge to each television show and feature project he shoots.

Recently, he lensed the CBS mini-series The Stand, based on the 1978 Stephen King novel, Knightfall for A+E Studios and the first season of Damnation for USA Network. His gripping work on the Damnation episode “A Different Species” earned him a 2019 ASC Award nomination for Outstanding Cinematography.

He has also shot several pilots, including Staties and The Crossing, both for ABC and director Rob Bowman, as well as TNT’s Home, ABC’s Forever, Fox’s Almost Human and NBC’s Midnight Sun, all for director Brad Anderson.

Abrams and Cameron Crowe, the first season of Fox’s Gotham, the pilot and four episodes of the first season of Bates Motel and the first three seasons of the audience-beloved series Fringe for creators J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.

For features, Yatsko has shot Stonehearst Asylum and The Call, both for director Brad Anderson, director Stephen Herek’s Into the Blue 2: The Reef for MGM and Otis for director Tony Krantz.

Yatsko fell in love with cinematography the first time he looked through a 16mm Eclair camera at the University of Texas. The variety seen in his body of work points to his dedication to the craft and deep enthusiasm for the ever-evolving nature of cinematography.

Yatsko lives in Los Angeles and is represented by DDA.
